What the three months covered

I ran a full technical SEO audit across the site, then worked through a handful of meaningful projects alongside it. Bauer Media Outdoor's footer had shrunk to six generic links, so I used keyword research and competitor analysis to rebuild it around categories that reflected search demand, taking advantage of footer real estate that had been sitting unused.

The site is also multilingual and went through a domain migration partway through the engagement, splitting one domain into several language and country domains. I supported the international support across that structure and improved internal linking, alongside page speed fixes.

AUDIT

Full Technical SEO Audit

A complete site-wide audit covering everything from crawlability to performance.

FOOTER

Footer Strategy

Rebuilt from six generic links into a fully fleshed-out footer based on keyword research.

INTERNATIONAL

Hreflang & Migration Support

Supported a multi-domain migration with better internal linking.

PERFORMANCE

Page Speed

Fixed oversized image uploads that were dragging down load times.

LOCALISATION

England, Wales & Scotland

Dedicated sections for each nation, with their own tone of voice and offering.

COLLABORATION

Direct Dev Collaboration

Worked in Bauer's own Jira, raising and tracking tickets through to deployment.

A great working relationship

What made this engagement work was the collaboration as much as the technical output. We met weekly throughout the three months, and I had regular sessions with their developers directly rather than passing recommendations over a wall and hoping they landed. That meant I got to properly understand their product offering, and every suggestion I made could be tied to what actually mattered to their KPIs, not just a generic technical checklist.

Weekly Check-Ins

Regular meetings with the wider team kept priorities aligned and meant nothing sat waiting for the next big report.

Direct With Developers

I worked hands-on with their developers in Jira, so fixes moved from recommendation to deployment without translation getting lost in between.

KPI-Aligned

Recommendations were shaped around their actual business goals, built from understanding their product rather than a one-size-fits-all audit.
